Sales figures have been zooming ahead and new players like the Kia Sonet are making their presence felt in the car market. Let's take a look at India's 10 top-selling cars today.

Maruti Suzuki's premium hatchback Swift holds the number one position. Maruti sold 24,859 units of Swift, recording a growth of more than 28% compared to October last year. 


PRICE: Rs 5.19 lakh onwards

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno sits comfortably at the second position on the list. Maruti sold 21,971 units of the Baleno premium hatchback in October 2020 via the brand's NEXA dealerships, which again is a month-on-month improvement from September when it sold a over 19,000 units.


PRICE: Rs 5.7 lakh onwards
 

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR replaced the Alto to take the third position on the list for October 2020. Maruti sold 18,703 units of the new WagonR.


PRICE: Rs 4.5 lakh onwards
 

Maruti's entry-level hatchback, Alto saw a dip in its sales with 17,850 units being sold across the country. Among the top four, only the Alto saw a marginal drop of about 2 per cent in month-on-month sales figure.


PRICE: Rs 2.99 lakh onwards

<p>Suzuki Dzire occupies the fifth spot in the rankings, but continues to be the best-selling compact-sedan in the country, with 17,675 units of sales. Dzire underwent a minor facelift earlier this year, and the company offered attractive benefits on the car to boost sales.</p>
